Beyond the Résumé

Hospitality has never been just a profession for me—it has been a lifelong journey of understanding people, building teams and creating experiences that leave a lasting impression. Over the past 25+ years, I have had the privilege of working across diverse hospitality environments, from city hotels to heritage palaces and leisure resorts, each shaping my perspective as a leader.

Growing up and working across different parts of India, and later spending two formative years in Europe, broadened my understanding of cultures, people and leadership. Those experiences taught me that while hotels may differ in architecture, geography and brand, exceptional hospitality is always built on the same foundation—people, trust and consistency.

Throughout my career, I have believed that leadership is not about having all the answers; it is about creating an environment where people can perform at their best. Whether leading hotel pre-openings, improving operational performance or working alongside hotel owners and teams, my role has always been to simplify complexity, build alignment and create systems that deliver sustainable results.

The principles that guide my leadership are simple:

I have been fortunate to learn from outstanding mentors, talented colleagues and dedicated hotel teams throughout my journey. Every property, every challenge and every success has reinforced one belief—that sustainable business performance comes from combining commercial discipline with genuine care for people.

Away from work, my greatest source of inspiration is my family. Raised in a family that valued integrity, education and public service, I developed an early appreciation for discipline, accountability and lifelong learning. Those values continue to influence both my professional decisions and my personal life. My wife, a successful banking professional, and our son, whose determination continually inspires me, remind me every day that leadership begins at home.

As I look ahead, my aspiration is to continue contributing to the hospitality industry through executive leadership, operational excellence and, in time, board and governance roles. While the responsibilities may evolve, the purpose remains unchanged—to build high-performing organisations, develop future leaders and create enduring value for guests, owners, employees and the wider hospitality community.
